Online Privacy and Security: Everyone's Concern

Online privacy and security is not merely an area of importance relegated to IT and Information Security professionals but, rather, should be a primary concern for every individual who has an electronic device (whether PC, notebook, tablet, iPad, mobile phone, etc.) that connects to the Internet. Today's malicious hackers (not all hackers are malicious, I myself am a Certified  Ethical  Hacker (C|EH)), identity thieves, pedophiles, etc. are becoming more and more technologically astute and, each time you logon to the Web-especially on public networks-you are placing yourself, your identity, and your finances at risk! I know, you think it will never happen to you but the fact of the matter is that Internet-related crimes are on the march and will only continue to grow in numbers as technology becomes more ubiquitous and our connectivity expands. 4 Common Mistakes Businesses Make When Outsourcing IT Support

Outsourcing is a great way to get professional services at a fraction of the price of hiring someone or a department full time. Your company may or may not be at the point of outsourcing information technology (IT) support. However, as your business grows, there is a high probability that outsourcing will become a realistic solution for you, whether it is information technology, human resources, accounting, or even sales and marketing. For years, businesses have been outsourcing specific functions related to accounting, law, and human resources. Outsourcing is a popular business model because it allows a company to remain focused on its core competencies, while the experts handle theirs. A Wireless Realm in 21st Century

With the advent of wireless technology the scenario of Internet world has been extremely changed. It isn't say wrong that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth have ushered the mankind into a new realm, a wonderful space that has only gadgets but no wires. Digital data transmissions are made through wireless networks. So much so, these networks can also be connected to the Net, the information superhighway of the world Laptop notebooks and Blue Tooth-enabled personal computers are dominating the corporate boardrooms of the world. Cellular phones have Wi-Fi capabilities; so we have no problem in sending and receiving SMS (short messaging service) and MMS (multimedia messaging service) messages. Airports have wireless data transfer facilities. Anyone, who is authorised to surf through wireless networks with the help of his laptop, can do so with the click on the mouse. However, wireless data transmissions are executed only at a price. Wired gadgets are still cheaper than their wireless cousins

Parents Open Your Eyes

I t shocks me to see parents always complaining that; their kids are always in the house, or just constantly on their video games, when the parents themselves are on their iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, etc. What happened to the old days when dads would go outside with their kids and throw the "ole pigskin" around? Or when moms would play tea party with their little girls? I can't tell you how much it irritates me to see a mom on her phone at the store, but turning around to yell at her son because he was jumping in the puddles at the parking lot, and getting dirty. Then a few days later she yells at him because he is inside playing with the video games she bought him. It doesn't surprise me that kids are so confused with what to do with themselves now-a-days. So all I want is to put a different outlook on the table and let everyone know parents have a little more to do with the younger generation's  in activeness  and obsession over technology. So let's sta
